Easy Entertaining cookery course
Background
Many of us love to entertain friends and families yet are often stuck for ideas and with limited time (or confidence) to experiment on new dishes, we keep serving the same ‘old standbys’.
This cookery course is designed to help you liven up your entertaining by covering a range of lovely dishes with lots of flavour and impact but without too much hassle to prepare.
The course covers lots of tips for advance preparation and using the best of what's available in the supermarkets. So for example, while we won't be making pastry on the day we will be creating some gorgeous tartlet recipes from quality bought pastry.
The Easy Entertaining cookery course
The day begins at 10am with refreshments and a chance to meet with the others on the course. We begin with a description of the day and the dishes and techniques that we'll cover.
Since numbers on each course are small there's plenty of opportunity to ask questions across the day but this is an ideal time to cover any specific questions you might have.
We have a short talk on health and safety and an orientation of the kitchen and facilities, before donning a lovely crisp apron and starting the cookery day.
Example dishes
Some of the Dishes we cover include:
- Pancetta wrapped cod loin with a basil crème fraiche sauce
- Toasted brioche with a warm berry sauce
- A selection of tartlet's that include smoked salmon and dill
- Lamb served with warm pulses, feta and mint
- plus more...
The course usually ends around 4:45.
All the recipes come in a lovely presentation folder for you to take home.
