Vegetarian Entertaining cookery course
Background
Vegetarian cooking has continued to grow in popularity and thankfully gone are the days when the poor vegetarian was faced with a cheese omelette as their meat-eating friends and partners tucked into more tempting choices.
Suitable for both vegetarians and non vegetarians this cookery course aims to give inspiration to the home cook and bring fresh ideas for entertaining.
This cookery course draws inspiration from across the world and the many choices of ingredients now offered to us from cultures where meat is not always the ‘main event’.
The Vegetarian Entertaining cookery course
The day begins at 10am with refreshments and a chance to meet with the others on the course. We begin with a description of the day and the dishes and techniques that we'll be covering.
Since numbers on each course are small there's plenty of opportunity to ask questions across the day but this is an ideal time to cover any specific questions you might have.
We have a short talk on health and safety and an orientation of the kitchen and facilities, before donning a lovely crisp apron and starting the cookery day.

- Twice Baked Soufflés, ideal as an impressive starter or lunch dish
- Artichoke and mushroom pastries with a creamy herb sauce
- Aubergine tagine with North African flavours and spiced flatbreads
- Sweet potato and mushroom noodles with fragrant coconut broth
- Savoury cheesecake with fresh tomato, courgette and balsamic dressing

All the dishes we prepare are eaten for lunch or across the day.
The course usually ends around 4:45.
All the recipes come in a lovely presentation folder for you to take home.
