Vanilla & Spice - Cookery School
My aim is to teach you to cook confidently and to develop your enjoyment and pleasure in food, through a special experience of learning to cook either in a small group or individually.
Many of my attendees come to me because they want to learn new skills and techniques and yet are put off by the large class sizes offered by other schools. With a maximum of 4 people on any open course I can help you to try new things, to master techniques and find ways to produce superb results without being a slave to your kitchen.
Courses are run in my well equipped but domestic kitchen – no industrial burners or commercial salamanders are on hand. I want you to be able to reproduce the dishes we prepare in your own home.
The majority of the time on each course is spent with hands-on-learning and coaching, rather than demonstration.

Tailor-made courses
Unlike many other cookery schools I also offer bespoke cooking classes for individuals or groups. Please have a look at the à la Carte page on this website.

Gift vouchers are also available for both open courses and private tuition and make ideal gifts, allowing individuals the freedom to choose what and when they'd like to learn.
